Seismically Qualified

FlexHead Industries is the only manufacturer to meet seismic qualification testing pursuant to AC156, "Seismic Qualification Testing of Nonstructural Components". The testing was conducted by the Department of Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering, at the State University of New York (SUNY). FlexHead products are in compliance with FM and UL standards and are installed in properties ranging from hotels to office buildings, new construction and retrofits.

FlexHead fire sprinkler connections provide characteristics that exceed the most stringent seismic code requirements allowing for independent movement between sub-mains and ceilings. FlexHead connections have tested this system at SUNY and are qualified for use in Seismic Design Categories C, D, E and F. The FlexHead connections also meet all International Building Code requirements without needing an unsightly oversized ring, sleeve or adaptor where the ceiling meets the sprinkler head.

FlexHead connections are FM-approved and UL-listed, having passed rigorous tests for hydrostatic pressure, vibration, friction loss, fatigue, head deployment, corrosion and water hammer. Every hose is leak-checked at the factory. Their burst pressure exceeds 3,000 pounds and compatible with every sprinkler head on the market.
